oh how I long to hear of peace again in this great republic to hear that all have returned to their homes and firesides once more how glorious will be the news to many hearts that now tremble for fear their loved ones should fall on the Battle field and neve be seen again; oh that kind heaven would hasten the happy period when we can say peace reigns throughout all our borders I would be glad to hear from you often as possible all join in sending their wishes for your safety and speedy return home and then to come and see us affectionatly Sarah Stewart
