Dear Brother Asa & family I thought I should write you Ere this but something has always been in the way & I am getting very slack about writing I arived home Safe & found all well Our family are all in good health I took a severe cold soon after I got home am not entirely free from yet. I have no news that will interest you I presume Spent Christmas with Doct Benjamin he got his connexions & a few of his old friends in & had a very comfortable time the Doct seems to enjoy himself well has all the ride he wants & is getting along first rate I Should think. Hetty & little Sarah went with us, from there I took her to Silas' Brother's, she will be from us a week or two it seems lonesom to be without them their healths are good. Expect the boys home in the Spring if all is well so they write has them pones got fat & what are you doing with them this winter are you collecting in & getting ready to go west with Hamilton & Eliza in the Spring, I must think it altogether the best move that you can make jamb along with the immigrations locate in some of the new cities or vilages that are springing up & be as industrious as you used to be & take my
