I like Phillips & have all confidence in his judgement It may be best to carry up the octagon gable thus as to pitch [diagram] but am not as yet satisfied without the drawings which would really be the best way. The dotted lines are for a uniform pitch of roof & the other is a peaked pitch so as to have the ridge come out even with the sides of the building
