Head quarters Camp Warnen July 21st 1861 Dear sister having plenty of time and feeling like hearing from home I thought the best the best thing I could do would be to write home. I have had good health and plenty of company ever since I have been here one reason I have not written oftener was because there was so many people here and so much confusion that I could not get my mind down to anything two minutes at atime. however I am getting over the excitement a little and occassionaly I venture out of the tent clime upon it get straddle of it set there an hour or two and look with wonder and amazement at the
