April, Wednesday 13, 1864 Near Wood ville Ala I am on Picket guard to day very Pleasant weather, I drew 1 Pr. sox 1 Canteen & 1 Hat nothing more of note to day April, Thursday 14, 1864 Near Wood ville Ala I came off of guard this morning at 9 oclock. we had very strick orders not to allow citizens in or out with or without Pass. our Division is under marching orders to be ready to march at a moments warning it is reported that that there is an [enemy?] force of rebles marching on Huntsville
