July, Tuesday 12, 1864 Half way between Marietta & the river There has not ben much of importance in Camp to day except in spection of equipments and orders to march, we took line of march at 5 oclock P M this after noon we got to this place at mid night march 8 miles July, Wednesday 13, 1864 4 miles South east of Maritta Ga. At Merietta Ga,, 4 oclock P.M, we took up line of march at 6 oclock this morning and got to this place at 11 oclock A.M. it has ben very hot to day we drew two days ration to day, we are to Continue our march at 5 oclock P.M. to Ross, ferry, in the Chattahoochie river
