August, Monday 1, 1864 we did not move to day, we drew ration to day, for three days. there has been but little or no fireing all round the line every thing appears to be very quiet. August, Tuesday 2, 1864 [?] miles West of Atlanta this morning there was a working detail from our Division to Construck a new line of work I was on that detail, we built a line of works 3 mi leanth, there has not been no fireing to day except Skirmishing. our Division moved one mile to the right to day
