Sept. Monday 26, 1864 on the road between Atlanta & Chattanooga Tenn at 8 o'clock this evening we got a board of the [are to are to?] Cars and travled all night. is has bee a very pleasant day I was all over the City to day taking a view of the rebles old works a round the City Sept. Tuesday 27, 1864 In Chattanooga Tenn, We boarded the cars at Atlanta Ga last evening at 10 o'clock and travled all night got to this place 3 this P.M. but can not go any further to day we have taking up our loging in the old brick ware house we drew Two day ration to day
