October, Friday 28, 1864 Independence Iowa Still a raining not mutch of note capt Little was here for diner. I had an invitation to a party up to Mr Walkers near Littleton. but it being so stormy I gave it up. October, Saturday 29, 1864 Independence Iowa not so rainy today. Father and my self went out to the timber after a load of wood today.
