Independence Iowa we did not start home untill 10 A.M. to day when we got home we found the folks all sick at home Father & my self stayed at WM. Marshal it cost us 25 cents for our horse Independence Iowa A gay day the Watterloo Fire Company came down and we had a find time a [?] lined the Streets with the Engins and trucks & drinking Lager we have a dance the Watterloo Co beet ours 39 feet a [spurting?] [watter?] I am out in uniform as a fire man it cost me 5 dolars to day
