Nov. Tuesday 15, 1864 Independence Iowa to day G.W- Brown. went to the timber aftter a load of wood there is nothing of note in town to day I received a letter from George Young this PM Nov. Wednesday 16, 1864 Independence Iowa there is not mutch of importance in town to day. I and mr. [Donon?] are on the the committy for to raise a Singing School we have a meeting at the Court house this eve. we are having fair Success with it
