Devil's Food. [(June)?] Yolks 2 eggs 1 cup of sugar 1 cup thick sour cream 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 sq. melted chocolate 1 teaspoon soda 1 scant cup of flour Beat the egg yolks, add the sugar and cream to which the soda has been added, stir in the melted chocolate, add the flour and beat thoroughly. Bake in a slow oven. Walnut Cake. Yolks 3 eggs Whiles 1 egg 1 cup sugar 1 cup milk 1/2 cup butter 2 cup flour 1 1/2 teaspoonfuls of baking powder 1 teaspoon vanilla This quantity will make three layers.
