White Cake. 1 Cup sugar 1 tablespoon of lard + butter 2 eggs 1 cup milk 2 1/2 baking powder 2 cups of flour Devil's Food. 1st part. 1 cup sugar 1 cup grated chocolate 1/2 cup sweet milk Boil the same as custard and when cool add 1 teaspoon of vanilla 2nd part. 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup butter 1 cup sweet milk 2 eggs well beaten 2 cups of flour level teaspoon of soda Mix first and second parts together.
