Christmas Bread 1 qt milk 1 cup butter 1 sugar 4 eggs 3 yeast cakes compressed 1 lb. raisins 1/2 citron Don't make too stiff Sour Cream Cookies 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 shortening 1 egg beaten 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 teasp - salt 2 cups flour 1/2 teasp nutmeg 1/2 soda 2 baking powder 1 cup nut meats Cream shortening and sugar together, add beaten eggs + nuts Mix well + drop by teasp. on greased pan. Bake in a hot oven.
