Cottage Pudding 1/4 c butter 2/3 c sugar 1 egg 1 c milk 2 1/4 c flour 4 tsp. B. P. 1/2 tsp salt Cream butter, add sugar gradually and egg well beaten; mix and sift baking powder, and salt; add alternating with milk to first mixture Turn into a buttered cake pan and bake 35 min. Serve with Vanilla hard sauce. Hard Sauce 1/3 c butter 1 c powdered sugar 1/3 tsp lemon extract 2/3 tsp vanilla extract Cream the butter, add sugar gradually, and flavoring.
