Peggy's Spice Cake 37 Mix: 3/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup green label Brer Rabbit mol. 3/4 cup melted shortening Add: 2 beaten eggs Sift together and add: 2 1/2 cups flour 2 tsp. soda 2 tsp. ginger 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/2 tsp. baking powder Add: 1 cup boiling water Bake about 35 minutes in moderate oven.
