Date-Nut Bars Mrs Prosser very good 1 c sugar 1 c flour 1 t vanilla 1 t Baking powder 1 t salt 3 eggs 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 pkg dates or 1 lb loose dates Method Cream yolks of eggs and sugar together. Add flour, dates (floured a little) vanilla etc. Last add well beaten egg whites and spread thinly on pans. Start in cool oven and bake slowly 20 - 30 minutes and cut in squares while warm. Sugar
