28 Saturday February 27th 1875. I cleaned up we girls room, and did some mending for myself in the forenoon. As soon as I had eaten my dinner I changed my dress to go down town. All three of us girls went. I stopped at a couple of stores, and then went down to Etts from there over to Beechers where I stayed till it was time to go home. After supper Will and I went down town alone in the buggy. We spent the evening at Etts. I had a letter from Charlie tonight and also from Lou Reeves. Sunday February 28th 1875. Laura, Will, and I went to church this morning. We brought Tom and Ett out home with us. After dinner I wrote a letter to Mother. Spent my time after that in talking with the folks. Just before night it began to rain so none of us could go to church and the folks could not get home. A bad night. Monday March 1st 1875. I never saw a much worse day. It was raining and froze as it fell. Will took me to school this morning. We met one of the Directors and he told me to go back home. I was only
