30 Thursday March 4th 1875. Will took me to school and came after me in the sleigh. Cousin Ettie was out here to supper and Curt Hardy also. In the evening all the young folks went down in the sleigh but me. I did not feel like going out in the cold any more. I practiced a little in the evening and read to Aunty. And sewed a little. I wrote a letter to Rob today. Sent it to the office tonight. Friday March 5th 1875. I rode to school and back today. In the afternoon Cousin Bob McCollister came. I did think I would iron in the evening but changed my mind, and sewed some. Will went down in the country to stay all night. Weather much more pleasant. I got a chance to ride home tonight. Six years ago tonight since a friend of mine first came to Iowa City. Saturday March 6th 1875. I went down town with Uncle this morning in the sleigh. I got me a new dress and a pair of new shoes. The dress I took down to Mrs Works, to have made. I took dinner at Mrs Beechers. In the afternoon I cut out a couple of linin aprons, one
