98 Monday August 23rd 1875. Mother went to town early this morning and got a new churn and sent Lee home with it Cousin Anna and Maud came over with her and spent the day. I worked in the rags all day. As soon as Hatt and I got our work done we went over to Folsoms on an errand and gossiped the whole evening. Tuesday August 24th 1875. Mother and Lee went to the valley and were gone all day till dark. The girls did not get home from school till four oclock. I put in the day working around and still did not accomplish much. We had company in the evening. Some young people who are visiting at McGoverns and Mollie and Jim. A good time. Wednesday August 25th 1875. I did not accomplish much today I helped with the work and worked in the rags till five oclock then went to town in the buggy. I got a bushel of apples and a new tub. I saw Anna and bid her good-by. I was out to Mollie Fairalls and had to come back down town to take my music lesson. It was night when we got home
