99. Thursday August 26th 1875. I did an immense washing and got all done by noon Just as Mother had dinner ready there was three ladies came from town. Hatt and I washed the dishes and then I cleaned up the kitchen and had only just got through at four oclock when Frank and Anna Fletcher came along and wanted Lee and I to go riding We got ready as quick as possible, and went to the boat house and came home by the Dubuque road We did have a splendid time Lee and I rode down to Robinsons before we came home. Friday August 27th 1875 Mother went to town this morning and I ironed I got through by noon it has been a very warm day. By mismanagement the girls walked home to dinner Hatt was awfully excited over it. I helped do up the work and mended the clothes and put them away. I practiced a little in the evening. Saturday August 28th 1875. Hatt and I washed ten quilts ready to go on the line before dinner. It rained so we could not put them out till evening. I worked
