109. Saturday. September 25th 1875. I ironed this morning and cleaned up the house. Emma Moon was here for dinner and Hattie started to go home with her. We had only done the dishes when John Anderson brought Tom and Ett over they had come from Burlington We got some dinner for them and they went to the valley. I drove over to town alone in the buggy to do some marketing. I did nothing but help with the work in the evening. Sunday September 26th 1875. As Hattie was gone this morning it took me all the forenoon to do up the work. Aunt Lib and family were here for dinner. John A_ was here in the afternoon and when Hatt came home we had an old big time making up a party for next Tuesday night. Her and I rode over to town and walked home. I wrote a short letter to Charlie And Rob and I took a horse-back ride it was the very best we have had. Hatt had supper ready when I got home. We had a pleasant time at the table. Jim and Arth were both here in the evening. I wrote a letter to Billy Reed in the evening. I was tired tonight.
