136 then cut and basted my overskirt. Mother went to town. Just before supper I brought in the clothes and rolled them up. I helped with the evening work and did some mending. I had a long letter from Hatt today. I was very tired tonight. Weather pleasant. Tuesday December 14th 1875. As soon as I got through my work this morning I began ironing. I finished before dinner. In the afternoon baked cake and mended the clothes and put them away. Mrs McCall and Mrs Palmer spent the afternoon here. After supper I went over to town with them and got some trimmings for my overskirt and came back with Mr Neil. This has been a splendid day. Lee came home from the valley. I had a letter from Billy Reed. Wednesday December 15th 1875. I sort of done up the work this morning and sat down to sew. Mrs Moon and Esther Chalfant spent the day here. Father brought Will over to dinner. Emma Moon came to stay a few days. I got a new piece of music tonight "Iowa Waltz" I worked on lamp mats after I went to the room.
