Monday February 18- 1935 I was busy with some crotchet work. Ott up most of the day. But eats little. I wrote to Mrs Falk. The Dr here to see Ott in the evening. He thinks he must keep quiet for a week or more. Tuesday February 19- 1935 I busy with my work. Ott about the same. Rob brought Hattie over to spend the afternoon. William & Mary got home at late bed-time. Wednesday Febraury 20- 1935 The young folks went to Des Moines this evening taking Biddy with them. Ott seems better. I wrote LeGrand Mary brought me home as soon as they came back. Letters from Winnie & Birdie. Spent the evening pleasantly here with Mr & Mrs Gay. It was 90 years today that Father & Mother married at [Piketon?]. Thursday February 21- 1935 I was busy with crotchet work all day. Mr. Gay went north again. She at the store. At a party in the evening. Ott getting better slowly. The Dr over again. Friday February 22- 1935 I was up early. Emma came to sew for us. She made over a black & white silk I had got through Mrs Gay and put new sleeves in another dress. Then did work for Helen Gay. I finished the chair set and pressed it. It snowed some early in the day. Ott about the same. keeping very quiet.
