Wednesday May 8- 1935 I was in bed most of the day The girls went to Hutchinsons to a party. William here a moment before they left. Brought me letters from Ida & Winnie Ott was in the car to take a short ride. Thursday May 9- 1935 Hatties birthday she got some nice presents She and Cora went to Mrs Records to a Red luncheon. The men began work up stairs I put in the AM reading in a diary of Hatties for 1875 when I was in Delavan so long. I dressed and went down stairs for supper. wrote Winnie Friday May 10- 1935 I did not get up till noon I read some in afternoon Dr Jones and wife called Rob came down stairs to sleep. I sleep with Hattie I went up to see shat the men had done at the rooms in the attic after supper Saturday May 11- 1935 I was up part of the AM. Mrs Gay here she brought a letter from Lorna she tells me the dog "Billy" is dead I was in bed in PM. Dr Ned here in the morning Sunday May 12- 1935 It was 49 years today that Will & I were married and started on our wedding trip Hattie went to SS and church. I ate dinner down stairs and staid down till early bed-time The Byingtons came at four oclock and took Hattie with them to the cemetery. I went out to the car. We listened to the radio in the evening
