Wednesday September 4th 1935 I was very busy here most of the forenoon. Hattie & Cora came for me to go home with them at noon. Spent the afternoon. Rob brought me home after supper. Thursday September 5th 1935 I put in most of the forenoon with some packing ready to go Delavan early tomorrow. William with Ott came to go to The Old Settlers picnic. We got Hattie. I enjoyed the meeting. I did some errands on the way home. Slept awhile I was so tired. Mrs Gay had had so much on hand. The washing and the tenants on the south side moving in. I finished my packing in evening. Cool for the time of year. Friday September 6th 1935 William Mary & Biddy came for me at seven oclock. We went up for Hattie and started for Delavan. Reached Peoria at 10:30. Did some errands and had a fine lunch at Block & Kohls. Soon after left for Delavan. The folks left for home at three oclock. Edith was in Peoria. She got home at six oclock. Spent the evening visiting. Saturday September 7th 1935 We left for Peoria at ten oclock taking Edith Pitsford and Mrs Alexander with us. They all had errands to do. We had lunch at The Sugar bowl. I visited at The Pere Marquerete till time to go across the street to see "Will Rogers" in Steamboat around the bend. Home at six oclock. wrote Hattie & Ida in Peoria. very tired.
