Sunday October 13th 1935 Edith went to S S & Church. Harry & Mabel came for the day. I enjoyed the dinner Laura brought me. I sat up awhile in the evening. Hattie called to talk to Laura. So warm jist like summer. Monday October 14th 1935 another fine day. Letter from Winnie. I wrote her to send Hatties last letter. wrote Ida. card to Mattie Stitt. Tuesday October 14th 1935 A nice day Edith took a couple to Pekin in PM. Hatties telephone from Otts where they were together in honor of Fannie's birthday. I sat up awhile in the evening. The Plishes and Miss Nichols called. Wednesday October 16th 1935 The girls got word this morning they must go to Chicago Friday. We telephoned The Byingtons and William and Hattie will come for me tomorrow. Dr Focklers here for his last call. I paid his bill $30.00 for 20 calls. Thursday October 17th 1935 I got up at nine oclock went up stairs and packed one suit case packed the other down stairs and dressed to come home. The folks got here a few moments before twelve. We ate dinner and left at once. Reached here at 6 PM. I was very tired. Hattie called Dr Ned and as soon as he looked me over and left medicine I went to bed. Rob & Cora in St Louis. Rob called up to know how I stood the trip. I am glad to be here.
