Sunday January 19th 1936 It was below zero this morning. Hattie did not try to go out. I read in forenoon and wrote Winnie in PM. Then slept awhile I feel much better. I do not have that tickling cough. I sleep well. Listened to Major Bower program and wrote Mrs Dinse. Monday January 20th 1936 Cora was down town awhile. Hattie here all day. I put in the day as usual. I slept awhile in PM. Tuesday January 21st 1936 The girls went over to Helen Whinery's to lunch by taxi both ways. I read and knit some. a cold day. A letter from Laura and Mrs. Falk. Wednesday January 22nd 1936 Such a cold day. Way below zero Ott did not go to the office. I read some and knit a little. I wrote Laura and wrote to Mrs. Whinery thanking for a gift. Thursday January 23rd 1936 Still below zero. Rob gone all day. I slept late in AM. The girls both home all day. Helen Whinery here in AM. Wrote LeGrand & Mrs Falk in evening. Friday January 24th 1936 Still cold. Hattie & Cora went to their crotchet club in a taxi. I knit some. Rob away all day no mail Saturday January 25 1936 18 below zero this AM. I did not feel so well as I have for a week. Wrote Mary Price in PM.
