cards awhile and then drove up after Winnie Her Father was sick and she did not want to leave him to go to the party. When we got to McCalls they had begun to dance. We had a splendid time. There was nothing left undone to make it pleasant for us. We started home about three oclock and had a pleasant ride. I found a letter here from Miss Lewis. Saturday January 15th 1876 Being late when we got up naturally enough it was late before we got the work done up We girls played a game of cards with Mr Bently and Mr Pottle before dinner. I worked most of the afternoon on a wheel tidy I am making. In the evening Rob and I went to the University social. Sunday January 16th 1876. Not a very pleasant day. We were most of the day doing the work Just as we had dinner over Uncle Will came and Hattie went to the valley with him. I did nothing but read a little in the evening. I talked with the boys when I took their lunch up stairs.
