23 Thursday February 17th 1876 I have felt worse today than any day this week. I sewed some on Hatties dress It was so pleasant in the afternoon that I went down to McGoverns to call on Miss Murphy I came home and helped with the supper But had a terrible spell of coughing in the evening. I went to bed early. Friday February 18th 1876 I felt some better today. I sewed quite a good deal in the evening I practiced and wrote a letter to Will Reed. I did not go to bed quite so early tonight. Weather pleasant Saturday February 19th 1876. This has been a splendid day I helped do the work this morning. Aunt Sarah was here for dinner. I went to town in the afternoon I met Lizzie Lindley. I got some ribbons and things for Hattie and I and a splendid new set of garnet jewelry apiece. I was at Wins a little while. I had a note from Mr Chase this morning which I answered. I feel terribly tonight.
