40 supper at the Pinney House and Rob stopped to take me to society. I enjoyed the afternoon and evening wonderfully. Hatt and I sat up and talked awhile after we came home. Saturday April 8th 1876. I sat right down to my sewing in the morning but did some house-work in the afternoon while Mother was gone to town. Did not do much of any thing at night. I finished up Mothers brown waist today. Sunday April 9th 1876. I helped do up the work this morning and then began reading a book Dick got from the library. I read most of the afternoon and evening. Jim and Win were here at different times in the afternoon. Monday April 10th 1876. It was a splendid day. We washed and ironed both, Besides cleaning the north bed room I was very tired at night. I finished my book I began yesterday and played a game of whist in which Rob and I came out ahead.
