55. Monday May 15th 1876. I got the work done right up this morning and Blanche and I went to town I worked at the house-work and baking till four oclock in the afternoon. And then we girls worked a little while on the brussels carpet It was late when we got the supper work done up and as I was very tired went to bed early. Tuesday May 16th 1876. Charlie came home last night. Him and I went to town early this morning I walked home and and him and Blanche went on to the valley I had lots of business on hand today getting some cream for Mrs Thacher We girls did a large washing. Mother and Charlie came home just as supper was ready. After supper Charlie and I went to town. Wednesday May 17th 1876. Charlie went back to Burlington this morning. We girls ironed in the forenoon and sewed on the carpet in the afternoon. Mother and Winnie went to the valley today They both came back
