81. Friday July 14th 1876 Mother and Father went to town for cherries this morning. They did not get home till nearly noon and then brought a bushel with them. We girls went to seeding them right away and worked till three oclock then Lou and I stopped and got ready to go to Cousin Sallies. I do not feel very well I am suffering with the tooth-ache. Mother and Hatt put up twenty three quarts of cherries. It rained tonight. I wrote a letter to Lizzie Lindley. Saturday July 15th 1876. I was nearly crazy with the tooth-ache all day, part of the time I laid down. I worked a little on my pillow case. Mother put up a little fruit. We took things rather easy today. Weather much cooler after the rain of last night. We have done a pretty good weeks work at the fruit for we now have up over a hundred quarts.
