95. Tuesday August 22nd 1876. We got up early this morning and hurried to get the work done up. Sallie Hart and Esther Chalfant spent the day here. I had a little time to sew in the afternoon. It was late when the boys came from the hay field so it was bed-time when we got the work done up. Wednesday August 23rd 1876. An intensely warm day. I sewed what time I had. The boys did not get in till late. We did the milking as there was a violent storm coming up. Went to bed early. Thursday August 24th 1876. I sewed all day. Mother spent the afternoon over to McCalls. Weather still warm. I had a letter from Al today. Friday August 25th 1876. We did a large washing this morning and washed carpet in the afternoon besides putting up some fruit. Miriam Holt called on me this afternoon The boys were late coming home again tonight.
