114 Monday October 16th 1876. I went to town early this morning and got calico to fix a comfort. I helped get the dinner after I came home. In the evening afternoon Hatt and I made the comfort. Mother went to town. Emma Middleton and Kitty Kaufman called here. Rob and I attended a ball at night had a pleasant time. Tuesday October 17th 1876. Mother did the washing this morning and we girls the house-work and got the dinner. Hatt sewed in the afternoon and visited with Winnie. Mother and I did some baking and spiced apples. I was awful tired at night. Wednesday October 18th 1876. I ironed some this forenoon and then blacked a stove we have to go in our room We got the room all cleaned up today and the stove up. Mother went to town this afternoon and I finished the ironing. I cut down stockings all the evening. Pleasant day. One year ago today Uncle Jim Anderson was buried.
