140. Wednesday January 3rd 1877. I helped do the work today. Winnie was over in the afternoon. And Mr Baily came over here to board today. I did not feel very well and knit what time I had in the afternoon and evening. Weather cold. Thursday January 4th 1877. Just did the work and knit. In the afternoon went to town to pay some bills and look up a stove for the parlor. I brought home oil and just got the lamps cleaned by the time we needed them. Hatt went to Wins as I went over and did not come home till after dark. Friday January 6th 1877. I was sick today. I did not do any-thing but knit for first three hours of the forenoon We moved the parlor stove into Mothers room before dinner and got a fire built in it. Mother went to town in the afternoon but I stayed at home and knit. The boys were not gone long to society and we had a waltz after they came home.
