142 Tuesday January 9th 1877 I helped do up the work this morning and then baked cake till nearly dinner time. Soon after dinner I changed my dress and walked down to Uncle Jims I spent a very pleasant evening We did not go to bed very early. Weather pleasanter. Wednesday January 10th 1877 I visited at Uncle Jims till three oclock in the afternoon and Aunt Mary took me on down to the valley We stopped a moment at Aunt Collins to see her new baby. Grand-ma was there and I went on home with her, spent the evening pleasantly there. Thursday January 11th 1877 I began to work on Aunt Ems dress. I sewed till supper time and knit all the evening. Friday January 12th 1877. I sewed all day just as I did yesterday I put my sewing away and knit in the evening. Weather rather cold.
