144 Wednesday January 17th 1877 I put in most of the day finishing the dress and got it all done to the very last stitch. I knit in the evening. Thursday January 18th 1877 I came home this morning and found Mother nearly sick and Mrs Wilter here for the day I worked all day about the house, and sewed a little in the evening. Friday January 19th 1877 I helped with the house-work in the forenoon and right away after dinner I dressed and went to town I did a lot of shopping for Hattie. I took supper at Wins and Rob came and took we girls to society. I came home with Mr Cattrell and Hatt. It was a cold night. Saturday January 20th 1877. I worked as fast as I could this forenoon I wanted to get the work done so I could go out to see Mrs Dennison this afternoon.
