172 Saturday March 31st 1877 It rained nearly all day and at night it rained very hard. We were invited to go down to Ella's but gave that up this morning and thought of going over to Wins but had to give that up to I helped do the work and made me eight handkerchiefs today and played cards all the evening. Sunday April 1st 1877. I helped do up the work in the forenoon and changed my dress before dinner. It was windy and disagreeable and I did not go away from home at all. The young folks all went to church at night. Win took supper here and Mr Whetstone and Pete were both here in the evening. Monday April 2nd 1877 Hatt did the washing this morning which was a large one and I cleaned up the house and helped get the dinner. I went to town in the afternoon and Win came over for Miss Baily.
