194. Tuesday June 5th 1877. We got the work done up early this morning and I did part of the ironing We had company for dinner Mrs Hart and Mrs Chalfant from town And Aunt Mary Mc_ With a Mrs Griffin from Illinois It wasent a very pleasant day there was a shower in the afternoon. I went to town late in the afternoon and invited some company for Thursday night Felt very tired at night and practiced a little while before going to bed. Hatt and Pottle went to Winnies. Wednesday June 6th 1877. We girls worked all day baking and frosting our cakes. I felt very tired and night but we did not get to bed very early as we were looking for Miss Cattrell tonight. She did not come. It has been a sultry day and there is a prospect of a violent storm. How fortunate our party is not tonight.
