219. Sunday August 5th 1877. Soon after we got the work done up this morning I changed my dress and went down to Robinsons where I stayed till three oclock. Lizzie came home with me and stayed till after supper. Hatt went riding in the evening and I helped with the work Monday August 6th 1877. It was a rainy morning and I began to fix over my brown calico dress. I got it done and the pieces cut up. Mother was over to Folsoms in the afternoon. Tuesday August 7th 1877 We did a large washing this forenoon and after dinner washed one carpet. Lizzie Lindley was here awhile. I got ready about four oclock and went over to see Aunt Mellissa. She and I went down to see Aunty Smith. It was dark when I got home and I was never so tired in my life. It was eight years today since the great eclipse. And Lou and I were down to Richmond.
