237 did not get home till supper time. In the evening I wrote a letter to Pete & Hatt, Pottle, and myself were on top the house. Monday September 24th 1877 I did the washing this forenoon and in the afternoon I went down to Mrs McGoverns and made my pillow cases to take to the fair. Our machine was out of fix. I rolled the clothes up and sewed the lace on one of my pillow cases after supper. Tuesday September 25th 1877 I finished my pillow cases and did up all my things ready to send to the fair. Rob took them down but thought it was so dusty he would wait till tomorrow. I did all the ironing but the shirts before dinner And finished in the afternoon while Hatt went over to meet Bird Harris who came on the two oclock train. Rob and I put up the lace curtains just before supper and after supper I went over town and got some things to be brought over tomorrow. I then went down to Wins and staid till Lee came over after the meat. I came home tired enough.
