240. Tuesday October 2nd 1877 I did nothing but house-work all day. We got supper at five oclock and Hatt and Ott went to the depot with the folks. Mother and I went to work and got another supper for the boys. I was very tired and went to bed early. Wednesday October 3rd 1877. I got the clothes washed and put to soak and went to town before dinner. It rained so I could not come right back. I got a new dress for Hatt and a pair of slippers apiece. I worked on her dress all the afternoon, and evening. Weather disagreeable. Thursday October 4th 1877. It was cold and windy. I put the clothes out and helped get the dinner. In the afternoon I ironed and Hatt made pleating for her dress while Mother went to town. Friday October 5th 1877. Rob and I put up the sitting room and Mothers room stove this morning. John & Ella Mc with a cousin and Win were here in the afternoon. I sewed all my spare time afternoon and till late in the evening.
