247 Thursday November 1st 1877. It was a rainy gloomy day. We were not away from home at all. I intended to take dinner at Mrs Winters but it was too bad. Friday November 2nd 1877 Bird and I were up to Mrs Allens part of the forenoon I began to knit June a pair of mittens. The weather still gloomy. I had a letter from Rob today with the money for our cloaks and Charlie had them sent up. I had a letter from Mr Hilbert. I wrote a postal to him and to Rob. Home all the evening. Saturday November 3rd 1877. Bird and I went down town this morning I looked at a lamp for the hall. I was busy most of the day. I finished Junes mittens and went down town with Ella Williams. She was here to supper. I had a letter from Pete today. Sunday November 4th 187. It was a gloomy day and at night it rained hard so we could not go to church. I enjoyed staying at home very well I read a book and wrote a short letter to Pete. I had a letter from Hatt telling me to come Tuesday.
