Friday October 6- 1933 I was busy most of the forenoon getting things ready to go to Chicago tomorrow. celt here for dinner Mary a little later for a call Frank Fletcher came in from the east Today. He spent some time with me in the ofternoon. Went home with celt at 5. oclock. I spent most of the evening packing. Went to bed early Saturday October 7- 1933 I got up in time to get ready to go to celt [&]? Frank Fletcher took me to the train [Cora]? came too celt had a letter from Le Erand he will be here the 17- and must leave Nov 6.- Alberta has gone to visit [her]? people I had a nice ride to Chicago. [Winnie]? met me. wrote [Lorna]? [&]? Hattie Sunday October 8- 1933 We were in all day reading and resting I find my ticket is good for ten days so will not go to [Deleron]? but stay here the limit of my ticket. Monday October 9- 1933 It rained some in the AM Spent the day here The evening at Fred Givens. This is Chicago day at The Fair 40 years ago today Will and I left here for home ofter attending the fair [illegible] for a week Tuesday October 10- 1933 we left for The Fair about ten oclock was [illegible] The hall of Science much of the time Listened to The Mexican Band very good. we got home before 6- oclock not very tired card from [Lorna]? read a book in evening
