Wednesday October 25- 1933 Did the morning work. A letter from [Mattie]? Still with clipping telling obout [Davy]? [Donlop]? committing suicide I wrote Mattie in PM. I rested owhile and dressed to go up to Hatties for supper. The [Byringtons]? called for me William [&]? Le Erand in Cedar Rapids met us there a pleasant family party. I stayed all night. Thursday October 26- 1933. Le Erang came and took Hattie [&]? me to call on Aunt [Erma]?. The rest of the day here with Hattie she took ["Homer"]? to a lady who was to come for him Mrs [Emsign]? in for a call in the evening Friday October 27- 1933 Hattie got ready to go to Chicago to be with Rob [&]? Cora for the week and Le Erand came to take her to The station I went along. I got out up town was at Dr Smiths office. I had letters from Lorna. Kate Rowe. Louie [Bremmer]? I rested in PM wrote Lorna a card. letter to Will [&]? Flora [Legand]? Saturday October 28- 1933 I was busy most of the forenoon. letter from Winnie and wrote her. Le Erand [&]? William came soon ofter dinner to bring the table I am to have and took my machine I went over with them they went to Cedar Rapids I staid with celt while he listened to The game at Minneapolis. There was a terrible accident. Fred [Sterns]? [law]? [illegible] and Frank Smith [killed]? celt brought me home at four oclock. Evening down stairs.
