Monday January 1st- 1934 Not so very cold today. Busy with writing and other things. At three oclock celt came for me to go to the reception at Dr Lemans. I went home with him to listen to report of ball game at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena raining and floods there William brought me home. Wrote Caroline Peckham Tuesday January 2- 1934 Mary took me up town at 10.30 I paid bills and went to celts office. They brought me home Hattie here later and till after supper. Letters from Winnie and Lorna Wednesday January 3- 1934 It was later when I got up I worked some on the table cover. Went to The church in the afternoon with Mrs Newcomb. In evening wrote Winnie and [illegible] on [illegible] Thursday January 4- 1934 I did some working in foremorn. It rained most of the day later turned to snow. I worked at my crotchet with what spare time I had Mrs Gay up in the evening. I wrote [Nell]? [Suislor]? sent letter from the [mart]? to her Friday January 5- 1934 I was busy with the work in AM. Rob here for lunch. He took me up town I got what money of mine he had in his safety box and with some I had made a deposit of [$]? 530.00 at The Capital bank. got a small dividend [$7.20]? from Citizens bank. walked home. snowing some today. Wrote Le Erand in evening crotched some. Hattie a party today.
