Thursday April 12- 1934 We were down town by eight oclock ready to go with Mrs Garrison. We took a Mrs Allen with us. a most delightful ride The other ladies visited with their people. Mrs G- had lunch with us. On the way home drove through a wonderful place near Paldka Got back to DeLand at 5.30. The evening at home Friday April 13- 1934 We were home till 2.30 PM. Went down town called on The Lowes. Took flowers to Mrs Shute. I spent the rest of the aftermorn at Pickens. Letter from Hattie I wrote her. Saturday April 14- 1934 I was busy with my packing most of the forenoon. We went down town soon after dinner. We left Mr Falk in town and she waited at the station till my train came I wrote some cards and had supper at Jacksonville Got on the train at 8.30 and went to bed early. Sunday April 15- 1934 A quiet rainy day to travel. very pleasant in the car. Only a few through passengers. Went to bed early. Monday April 16- 1934 I reached Chicago at 7.15 and went directly to the Rach Island station for breakfast. I waited some time for Winnie and finally telephoned to find she was not able to come down. I came on home a taxi to my place. Went home with Rob for supper. After I came back unpacked and put things away and went to bed. Wrote Winnie
