Friday May 18- 1934 I was home all day. fixed the cover on my rocking chair and cushion. slept awhile. very warm I was down on the porch awhile in the early evening Saturday May 19- 1934 Mrs Gay had a man cleaning the hall and Mrs Walsh doing other work. I had her help me in the aftermorn make some changed n my bed-room. We heard over The radio at supper time a big fire in Chicago a hot day Sunday May 20- 1934 Celt came for me to go to SS [&]? church. We took Hattie home as we were invited there for dinner a restful PM Later we went to the cemetery and called on Mr William who [red]? to live in the old home. Celt left me here. The Gays took me to West Liberty after supper very warm Monday May 21st- 1934 I did some cleaning and read the papers. Mrs Gay had Mrs Welsh work for her today she did mine too very warm. But a splendid rain about 5- oclock. Card from Celt Seibert Tuesday May 22- 1934 I [bohed]? a [coke]? did my ironing. went around to pay telephone bill. Celt here for dinner. He took me up town I got material for a dress at [Strubs]?. Went to Dr Smiths office he took the gauze from my neck and feels it will give me no more trouble. Letter from Winnis. So cool and pleasant. Went home with Celt at 5. oclock. He was sick in the night. I got Dr Bernett over. William [&]? Mary away Card from Celt Seibert wrote her in evening
