Sunday August 5- 1934 a terrible storm late last night It rained till noon today. Edith to SS. In the aftermorn The Woolfs called and later Harry [&]? Mabel came. They stayed for supper we out on the porch after they left. I went to bed early. Monday August 6- 1934 The girls did washing George Parsons here I did not see him Letters from Celt. I wrote Hattie. The Facklers here after supper Lorna to Peonia in afternoon. I ate supper at the table. Tuesday August 7- 1934 I slept very well. up at 10.30 and wrote a long letter to LeErand Letter from Winnie The girls busy here Wednesday August 8- 1934 very hot again I got up to breakfast. But lying down most of the day Letters from Birdie [&]? Hattie wrote them I was on the porch in evening The Alexanders called Thursday August 9- 1934 The Dr came this AM. I paid my bill (35.00) a very hot day I was on the bed most of the time. I went up stairs and did packing. The Fachler here in evening Letter from Erma Herriott Friday August 10- 1934 We left for Burlington before 5. oclock reached there at 8.30 I phoned Hattie. The girls made a short call and went right back. I stood the ride very well I had a good rest and sleep in the afternoon It is cooler today Evening on the porch and to bed early. The Whitstones come for me tomorrow.
